Microneedling
Microneedling (also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy) is a treatment that uses either a dermaroller or an automated pen device, containing small needles.
These needles cause tiny punctures to the skin. These small superficial wounds encourage the body to create a wound healing response, releasing growth factors that stimulate fibroblasts, creating new collagen and elastin, as your skin repairs.
This treatment has an immediate plumping effect. It can also help tackle other skin damage such as scarring, dark marks, sun damage and ageing.
At Guilliards we use both the dermafix automated pen and dermarollers.
The Dermafix Pen, allows for controlling the treatment depth and intensity, to best suit the clients needs. A Genosys power solution, specific to your needs, will be applied to the skin, during treatment to aid cell proliferation.
This targeted treatment is ideal for localised areas of concerns.
The Dermaroller device is rolled over the skin creating thousands of tiny puncture wounds on the body. Having the same wound healing response as the Dermafix Pen. However, treatment works best on larger areas of the body.
